Getting married at the Caleta Hotel In Gibraltar

Formally known as the Caleta Palace, the hotel has undergone extensive renovation and has rebranded itself as the four star Caleta hotel. Located on the southernmost point of Gibraltar, near the border with Spain and also conveniently near the airport, the Caleta features 169 beautifully appointed bedrooms with a choice of rock or sea view.

All rooms are ensuite and feature tea & coffee making facilities in each room. The sea view rooms feature a ceiling fan and the sea view deluxe rooms feature remote control air-conditioning, balconies, fluffy bathrobes and slippers and flat-screen television.

The hotel features an award winning Italian restaurant, Nunos, which serves an exceptionally high standard of cuisine with professional service to match. A stunning location overlooking the Mediterranean, Nunos Restaurant is highly and personally recommended by our wedding co-ordinator. Simple touches such as complimentary canapés upon arrival and discreet service with a smile really do make your experience at Nunos all that more memorable.

Must-try dishes include the roasted breast of duck with a duck & fig ravioli, fondant potatoes and balsamic vinegar jus or how about the seven hour braised leg of lamb, served with a salsa verde, mashed potatoes and spring onions. And do not forget to try the deliciously light and fluffy tiramisu and the Italian cheese board��we could go on!

Enjoy a true British experience � the High Tea. The Catalan Lounge and Terrace serves a lovely afternoon tea which includes a selection of finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones with little pots of strawberry jam and the most divine clotted cream and even a generous slice of cake with a pot of tea, coffee or even a glass of champagne. All served in the quaintest white china.

The Catalan Lounge also serves cocktails, tapas and light snacks throughout the day.

At the Caleta, you can get married in a civil ceremony in the hotel's function room or, weather permitting, under a white canopy in the garden. The canopy is pre-decorated with silk flowers and ivy but you may certainly add your own decorations. The garden can be hired for private use and a buffet or barbeque meal may certainly take place in the garden following the ceremony.
